Attorneys Lawrence Brownstein and Erich Von Unruh, and paralegal Theresa Kuhn, of Kirwan Spellacy & Danner’s Jupiter office, prepared and tried an admitted liability case in Palm Beach County. The trial, presided over by Judge Catherine Brunson, focused on injuries sustained by the Plaintiff, which required lumbar laminectomies, following a series of epidural injections, and $125,000 in medical specials. A proposal for settlement was served, and was subsequently rejected by the Plaintiff. At trial, Plaintiff’s counsel sought an award of over $500,000 in total damages. The jury, however, awarded nothing, unable to get beyond the question of the Defendants’ alleged negligence resulting in this accident.
